It’s hydrant flushing time in Minden Hills.
The township along with the Ontario Clean Water Agency, completes hydrant flushing as an important preventable maintenance activity.
The process is part of a routine maintenance program necessary to maintain the integrity of the water system and to deliver the highest quality of water. Sediments and deposits naturally occur over time and if not removed can cause water quality deterioration, including discolouration, taste and odour problems.
Residents may experience a drop in water pressure and water may appear rusty or cloudy. If you experience discoloured water, run your cold water taps until the water is clear.
