Haliburton Highlands Health Services is pleased with the news that residents in Long Term Care Homes will finally be reunited with their loved ones.
Highland Wood and Hyland Crest have worked diligently to keep their residents and staff safe during the pandemic.
President and CEO Carolyn Plummer says “while excited and relieved, they must remain diligent with planning to ensure this is done in the safest possible way for everyone”. She says “all visitors must adhere to strict guidelines before meeting with relatives residing in the LTC homes”.
HHHS is working diligently now on obtaining further clarification on these guidelines, as well as developing policy and process that aligns with the direction from the Ministry.
Families of Long Term Care Home residents will receive further updates in the next few days.
