Haliburton, Kawartha, Pine Ridge District Health Unit offices reopening

The Health Unit offices are reopening to the public on July 6.

The offices will be open from 8:30 to 4:30 Monday to Friday and each office will have safety protocols in place to ensure both the public and staff can remain safe.

Medical Officer of Health Dr. Lynn Noseworthy says “their first consideration is everyone’s safety”. She says they will be “actively screening visitors to be sure they aren’t ill, limiting the number of people coming into the office, asking visitors to maintain physical distancing, and requiring people wear a mask if they are coming to the office for an appointment or program”.

The well water bottle drop off will continue, but staff will still not be able to check the paperwork, so when possible, people are asked to call and book a pick-up time for harm reduction supplies.

Dr. Noseworthy says “like other businesses, we are open, but it’s not business as usual”.
