Dysart Residents Reminded Of Household Hazardous Waste Day

Dysart et al residents are being reminded of the upcoming Household Hazardous Waste Day in Harcourt.

Materials like old paint, household batteries, fluorescent and CFL light bulbs, pesticides, propane cylinders, or used motor oil can never be placed in the garbage or recycling.

Instead, you bring them to the municipality’s Household Hazardous Waste Day on August 15.

The event takes place at the Harcourt Landfill from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.

This event is for Dysart residents only – and residents must present valid Dysart landfill identification user cards.

Amid COVID-19 safety protocols, residents are asked not to exit their vehicles at the hazardous waste drop off location.

Instead, event staff will unload your hazardous waste for you.

Meanwhile, commercial hazardous waste will not be accepted.
