Over 1.4 million dollars are coming our way under the Safe Restart Program.
The province and the federal government are delivering on a commitment to provide up to $4 billion in urgently needed one-time assistance to Ontario’s 444 municipalities. $1.6 billion will be delivered as part of the first round of emergency funding.
The funding will help municipalities protect the health and well being of the people of Ontario, while continuing to deliver critical public services, as the province continues down the path of renewal, growth and economic recovery.
MPP Laurie Scott visited The County of Haliburton’s Warden Liz Danielsen and County councillors Andrea Roberts and Brent Devolin Wednesday, to announce the funding.
