Heat Bank gets financial support from the Emergency Community Support Fund

Heat Bank will be warming homes this heating season with financial support from the
Emergency Community Support Fund distributed by United Way Kawartha Lakes.

Last year, Heat Bank assisted 120 homes and 248 people with energy affordability and housing stabilization.

This year, energy conservation kits will be provided at no-charge to households in need, kits include window insulation film, weather-stripping and outlet cover products which reduce heating costs by reducing drafts and heat-loss.

A limited number of water heater blankets will also be available.

Households that are that uncertain how they will manage their winter heating needs can request an energy conservation kit between September 28 to October 1 by emailing [email protected].
