2014 a busy year since 2012 for Dysart fire department

A look back at 2014 for the Dysart fire department is showing the busiest of the past three years. Fire Chief Miles Maughan says there were 285 calls last year, compared to 279 in 2013 and 280 in 2012. Twelve fires they saw throughout the year resulted in a total of about 1.6 million dollars in damages. Minden Hills Fire Chief Doug Schell says they also saw a slight increase in structure fires, but overall calls were down by 40. Full reports will be given to council for the next meetings.
