Officers in Haliburton County were extremely busy over the holiday season after conducting 114 RIDE checks. They just released the results and it showed seven people registered below 50mgs of alcohol consumption, and three people had their license suspended for three days for being in the .05 to .08 range.

Constable Dianna Dauphinee says this shows people are still drinking and driving. However, last year one person was charged with impaired driving, but they didn’t have any of those charges this year.

OPP are reminding people that even though the campaign is over, they’ll still be performing RIDE checks throughout the year.
