Ontario 55+ Winter Games report 100 more athletes taking part this time

With over one thousand people taking part in the Ontario 55 plus winter games this year, the committee is calling for over half a million dollars to go into the local economy. They recently announced that the number of people registered for the games are up by 100 compared to the last games. Chair of the committee, Alan Clark says this was the number they were hoping for. In addition to the games, which start on February 17, they’ve added a women’s hockey tournament to happen two days before, which will bring another 60 people to the area.
