Minden Hills has submitted their nomination for the Kraft Hockeyville competition. They’re hoping for the winnings of 100 thousand dollars to go toward upgrades at the SG Nesbitt Arena. It’s one of the big items on council’s list after an engineer’s report came forward saying it needs a total of over 2 million dollars to upgrade. People can start showing their support for the nomination by posting comments and photos to Facebook and Twitter. Voting opens in March, but only 10 communities will make it to that round.
