OPP send safety reminder after three reported snowmobile deaths this year

The OPP is reminding snowmobilers to be safe on our trails. January 17th to the 25th is Snowmobile Safety Week and police are partnering up the Ontario Federation of Snowmobile Clubs (OFSC) to get the word out about safety. McCormack says out of the three people who died, two were also not wearing helmets. Police are asking you to be safe. McCormack also says snowmobilers have an important role to play.

The OPP will be out patrolling trails and issuing tickets to anyone who is caught speeding or driving under the influence.
