Minden Hills council is hoping to make something happen with the suggested affordable housing unit. Hope Lee is the Manager of Housing with the Kawartha Lakes Haliburton Housing Corporation and she recently gave council design plans for the building they’re hoping to build on Stouffer Street. They’re asking council to donate the land and waive any fees related to the building and property taxes. Council accepted the request to include in their draft budget items. Another request to County council for a cash donation will happen at the end of this month.
