Funding requests to Minden Hills council are being added to the list of things to talk about for this year’s budget. The Disaster Relief Committee is close to the end of their work since the flooding in Minden. They’re asking for 30 thousand dollars to go into a report that will outline a flood plan for the municipality. At the same time, a group of people who have been operating a shelter for feral cats in the area are asking for three thousand dollars to help with vet bills. Both requests were accepted at yesterday’s council meeting and will be considered when the budget is finalized.
