Minden’s Community Services Director is reporting a decline in attendance at the Agnes Jamieson Gallery and Minden Hills Museum. According to the report given to council, Mark Coleman says since the Gallery was renovated and expanded in 2004, attendance went down by half and it hasn’t improved. Coleman gave a few reasons for the decline like an increase in other community activities and organizations and less interest from local schools. He says marketing will play a big role in getting the numbers up, but he is putting together a report on how to increase attendance.
