COVID-19: Haliburton down to five active cases Wednesday

The local health unit reported one recovery and no new cases of COVID-19 in the County of Haliburton today(Wednesday).

Haliburton now stands at five active cases, with one more previously reported case* screening positive for a variant of concern in the county. 

11 new cases were recorded by the health unit on Wednesday, four in Northumberland and seven in Kawartha Lakes.

The Haliburton Kawartha Pine Ridge District Health Unit did a little over 650 tests for COVID-19 over the last two days.  

*Even though the variants of concern have been counted in the data today it takes two weeks for the results to return from the lab and these cases have already been counted in previous daily case counts.
