The community is rallying together to help local business owners get back on their feet. After a fire destroyed the Haliburton Feed Co. on Nov. 13, owners Maureen Adams and Charles McAleaney are hoping to rebuild.

Jeff Moulton is a cottager, recently turned permanent resident of Haliburton County and he’s organizing a fundraiser to help the company cover some of their costs.

Moulton says he was a Haliburton Feed Co. customer for over a decade, but he explains what it was that inspired him to put together the fundraiser.

He also says the owners always help people and animals, and this was a chance for him to give back.

Moulton says he’s had great response from the community and people are helping him bring the event together. It will be held at the Dominion Hotel on Saturday January 31 at 7:30 p.m. Moulton explains what the night will offer.
