The province added 1,890 cases on Friday with sixty-nine per cent in the hot spots around the GTHA. The death toll is at 8,579 after another 27 people died. The recovery rate is steady at 94 per cent while test positivity is at 5.4 per cent. A new daily high for vaccines was reached over the last 24 hours with over 158,000 given. Over 37,000 tests were done.
