Reeves in Haliburton County will be meeting with the MTO today to discuss winter road maintenance. Our local MPP Laurie Scott helped set up the meeting which will also be with Carillion – the company that’s performing the maintenance. Scott explains what the meeting is about.

Scott says three years ago the province moved to a new winter road maintenance model called an Area Maintenance Contract, and ever since then, the roads haven’t been the same. She explains what she’s hoping to get out of the meeting

Scott says along with the councilors in our area, she’s been sending pictures, stories and messages to the MTO and Carillion about the issue. She’s asking residents to do the same.
