Students at Hal High are continuing their protest against the transfer of VP Mr. Wood. This morning students gathered in the front hall and passed around posters and petitions to sign. Members of the community were also there, including the parents of Mr. Wood who expressed their thanks to the students for speaking up. Another resident stood up to encourage the students telling them she was proud they were standing up for what they believe in.

Since then, students are taking turns speaking about their experiences with Mr. Wood and why they’re standing up to bring him back. According to the school board, today was the first day Wood has been in his new position at Ridgewood Public School.

There’s no word yet from the school principal as to what their response to the protest will be.
