The Health Unit has decided to waive a 40-dollar fee into their food handler course in February. Bill Eekhof, Assistant Communications Officer, says they made the change so more people would be interested in safe food practices. The course teaches people how to handle and prepare food safely, and participants will receive a certificate that’s valid for five years.
