Ontario adds 563 new COVID-19 cases

Ontario is reporting over 500 new COVID-19 cases for the first time in almost a month.

The province added 563 new cases on Friday with 48 percent in unvaccinated and partially vaccinated people.

Forty-four percent of the new cases are in fully vaccinated people.

Five new deaths were recorded over the last day.

Over 30,000 tests were done over the last day with test positivity at 1.8 percent.
