Minden Hills Festival of Banners returns after two year hiatus

A call for artists is going out to design banners for the village of Minden. After a two year hiatus, the Minden Hills Festival of Banners Committee is back and looking to brighten up the village. This year’s theme is ‘let the games begin’, so they’re looking for banners that relate to Minden’s involvement in the PanAm Games. They’re encouraging students to enter, which they can do for free. Adult submissions are five dollars. Artists are asked to submit a smaller version of the banner, and if it’s selected by the committee, they will provide the venue, the paints and brushes. For an information package and an entry form, go to Organic Times in Minden. The banners would go up in May and stay there until after Thanksgiving.
