Chimney cleaning, smoke and CO detectors a must for the fall and winter season

The woodstoves may already be getting a workout with the cool fall nights in the Highlands but you want to make sure that your chimney stack has been well-cleaned and free of any creosote.

Acting Fire Chief Dan Chumbley also says working carbon monoxide detectors are to be tested in both the spring and the fall.

Chumbley says many people forget about testing the ones that they have at their hunt camps.
