A COVID-19 outbreak has been declared at Hyland Crest Long-Term Care Home.
Haliburton Highlands Health Services says four residents and one staff member have tested positive for the virus, and a total of nine residents have been isolated.
That means the home is closed to visitors and admissions until further notice, excluding essential caregivers, and all non-medical outings are cancelled. However, officials say the Minden Hospital is unaffected.
The agency says infection control measures continue to be in place, with mandatory masking, vaccination, and testing before entry.
