Several projects across our riding will collectively receive up to $266,000 in provincial funding.
Locally the money will go towards expanding the Haliburton County Development Corporation Business Services Hub and the county’s Comprehensive Economic Development content development and marketing campaign.
Haliburton-Kawartha Lakes-Brock MPP Laurie Scott announced the funding Monday as part of the latest intake of the Rural Economic Development program.
Officials say the program supports projects that diversify rural economies, retain skilled workers, and create jobs in local communities. They add that’s to help establish collaborative marketing opportunities, implement strategies to strengthen and coordinate collaboration across sectors, and redevelop vacant and/or underutilized buildings.
