The province has announced that an inquest will be held into the death of Leslie Hegedus.
Officials say the 73-year-old died in hospital in July of 2020 following an interaction with OPP officers in Haliburton.
An inquest into his death is mandatory under the Coroners Act.
Officials say it will examine the circumstances surrounding the death, and a jury may make recommendations aimed at preventing further ones.
