The township of Minden Hills is reminding the public that no ice is safe ice.
That’s after the Fire Department rescued an adult and a dog from the water on Friday.
The department says inconsistent and unseasonably warm temperatures mean people should be extra vigilant around ice and moving water.
Officials add parents and guardians should keep children and pets clear of water bodies during the spring thaw.
