TLDSB running special education survey

Expect a survey in the next two weeks about special education at local schools.

The Trillium Lakelands District School Board says anonymous surveys will be emailed out to students with Individual Education Plans (IEPs), as well as their parents and guardians.

Board officials say responses will help make sure the right programs and services are in place to help those with special needs.

“The TLDSB SEAC completed a similar survey in 2018 and 2020,” says Jennifer Johnston, superintendent of learning for Special Education Services. “The results from past surveys assisted the committee with recommendations that have since been successfully implemented to enhance the student experience.”

The deadline is April 12, and parents can request paper copies of the survey from their child’s school.
