A new doctor is coming to Haliburton.
Haliburton Highlands Health Services (HHHS) says Dr. Ali Bohra, an emergency room specialist from the United Kingdom, is joining the organization for the next four years.
“On behalf of The County of Haliburton, I am very pleased to welcome Dr. Bohra to our region and our local healthcare services team,” says County Warden Liz Danielsen. “The addition of Dr. Bohra will result in improved access to local health care for our residents and visitors to the County.”
The agency says Dr. Bohra’s passion for healthcare, calm demeanor, and excitement to contribute to the community will leave a lasting impression.
Bohra visited the county in February after responding to a recruitment ad last fall, and says the “welcoming attitude” of the Highlands made him decide on the move.
“I think it’s high time for me to serve the community with respect and dignity, the same way I would wish for myself,” says Dr. Bohra.
