Various open houses are taking place across Haliburton County on May 1 in honour of First Responders Day.
Fire Halls in Dorset, Dwight, Stanhope, Dysart et al, Minden and Wilberforce will all be opening their doors to the public Thursday evening from 3 to 7 p.m.
Residents will be invited in to meet local emergency personnel, learn about local programs and services and get an up close look at equipment and vehicles.
