Community Heritage Series at Minden Hills Cultural Centre

The Minden Hills Cultural Centre is inviting the public to celebrate local history and storytelling through their Community Heritage Series, which includes two evenings of speakers.

“The Art of Printing and Stories from the Minden Times” will take place on July 24 at 5 p.m. Natalia Brown will share her passion for letterpress printing. Following her presentation, attendees will hear from Jack Brezina, who will be reflecting on his time managing the Minden Times newspaper.

The next scheduled event, on August 7 at 5 p.m., is titled “Dominion Hotel at 160: Histories and Mysteries.” Shawn Chamberlin, innkeeper, will mark the 160th anniversary of the Dominion Hotel and share stories about its past and reported paranormal experiences.

Cultural Centre officials say admission is by donation, and no pre-registration is needed.
