About 60 people were out last night to show their support for the LGBTQ community in Haliburton County. It was the launch of Rainbow Youth Haliburton – an initiative started by Point in Time, the Health Unit, and the school board. Marg Cox is the Executive Director at Point in Time and she told the crowd that they want to show youth in Haliburton County that they have the support of parents to create an inclusive community. The night was all about brainstorming as the group is working towards funding, regular meetings or events, and establishing partnerships.
