NewsMinden council agrees to waive fees and reduce taxes for affordable housing project SHARE ON: Smith Autumn, contributor, Monday, Mar. 2nd, 2015Minden Hills council has decided how they’re going to support the new affordable housing project by the Kawartha Lakes Haliburton Housing Corporation (KLHHC).At the last council meeting, they agreed to waive building and permit fees, donate the land for the project, and reduce the taxes. The location KLHHC proposing is on Stouffer Street.At a February meeting, Reeve Brent Devolin said the location isn’t final and there will be a chance for public input on the position of the building.
