Trillium Lakelands District School Board to hold third annual Arts Showcase

The Trillium Lakelands District School Board (TLDSB) is getting ready to host its third annual Arts Showcase.

Events will take place in the City of Kawartha Lakes, Haliburton and Muskoka.

In Haliburton, an event will be held at Fleming College’s local campus from 6 to 7:30 p.m. on April 29.

Officials said, earlier this year, students were challenged to choose a visual or performative art form and create a piece individually or collaboratively in pairs, small groups, or as a class.

According to officials, this year’s showcase challenged students to consider how they might create art from an eco-conscious lens, by using natural, recycled, repurposed, and/or materials already in school buildings.

School board officials said a collection of artwork will be selected for display at the regional showcases.
