Algonquin Highlands council said goodbye to their Clerk and Planning Administrator yesterday. Dawn Newhook recently decided to take a job as the Clerk in the Township of Minden Hills. Reeve Carol Moffatt said there were no hard feelings, but the Township was losing a great employee. Councilors expressed their thanks, saying the work Newhook did was always immaculate. Newhook said the decision was hard to make but at the end of the day was a move based on what she wants for her career.

Newhook’s last day at Algonquin Highlands is today and she’ll start with Minden Hills on Monday.
