Illegal hunting in Harcourt has man facing $6500 fine

An illegal Moose hunt in Harcourt has a Barry’s Bay man facing charges. The MNRF has fined the man 65 hundred dollars for hunting a cow moose without a license, and possessing the illegally killed moose.

The offence took place in Harcourt in 2013 when the man transported portions of the moose to his residence in Barry’s bay and left some of the meat to spoil.

In addition to the fine, he’s not allowed to hunt in Ontario for five years.
