Grade eight students in Haliburton County can get a free prom dress or suit this year. Thanks to an initiative started by a few local residents, people have been donating their prom clothes and now students can find the perfect outfit for their style.
Pickup will be on April 25 at the Lochlin Community Centre from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Alterations and make up tips will also be offered.
They already have over 100 dresses donated, but they are looking for more suits. You can drop off prom clothes, including dresses and suits to JD Hodgson in Haliburton or Organic Times in Minden.
They are also looking for anyone to offer dry cleaning services.
