Haliburton has made it in the top ten for the Kraft Hockeyville competition. While only one community will win the final prize, the AJ LaRue Arena will get 25 thousand dollars just for placing in the top ten. The top two finalists will be chosen based on how many votes they receive from the community. Voting opens on March 21.
The winner will receive 100 thousand dollars in arena upgrades and will host an NHL pre-season game. The community that comes in second place will be awarded 100 thousand dollars in arena upgrades.
