The MNR has issued a flood outlook for the Burnt River watershed which includes Drag River and Irondale River. With the mild temperatures we’ve had recently, and the rainfall in the forecast, the snow will continue to melt, increasing water levels and flow in local rivers and streams.
Residents should keep a close watch on conditions and stay away from fast-moving rivers and streams. People who have a history of flooding should also be taking precautions to protect their property.
The flood outlook is expected to be in effect until Apr 15.
