Haliburton County wants to get more local businesses involved in tourism, and it looks like they may be on track. At yesterday’s tourism committee meeting, they heard from community members that the recent stakeholder meetings were very impressive and full of business owners who were enthusiastic, positive and keen to get more involved.
Councilors were happy to hear the news as they’ve been struggling to find new ways to get more businesses on board.
A few initiatives like a mystery shopper will be rolled out in the near future to help improve customer service around the county.
