News OPP promote online reporting for minor crime SHARE ON: Smith Autumn, contributor, Tuesday, Apr. 14th, 2015 Online reporting is the new way officers can help with an incident and not have to be dispatched to the scene. The Citizen Self Reporting system was recently launched by OPP, and the Haliburton Highlands detachment is getting the word out. Minor incidents like property damage, theft from a vehicle, driving complaints, and lost or stolen property can all be reported online. If there aren’t any suspects, injuries or emergencies, officers won’t need to attend the scene, but can still be accessed through this online reporting tool. It’s a 24/7 service that can be done from anywhere. For more details, click here.
