A grass fire on Parish Line Road had Dysart fire fighters busy yesterday. It happened yesterday afternoon, taking about 20 minutes to put the fire out and another 25 to check hot spots.

It’s undetermined how the fire started.

The fire department is reminding everyone that the top layer of dead grass can dry out very quickly and a fire can spread so to be careful with all ignition sources.

They’re also reminding residents that burning regulations are in effect until October.
