Local MP Barry Devolin announced today that the government is giving ten thousand dollars to the Haliburton Trail Riders. The money will be used to rehabilitate a series of trails that are part of the Somerville Trails Improvement Project.
Devolin says the investment is part of the government’s efforts to expand and improve recreational and multi-purpose trails across the country.
In addition to these funds, the City of Kawartha Lakes and the Haliburton Trail Riders each put five thousand dollars into the project.
