Our district health unit is making sure local institutions are aware of the recent recall of apple slices. Sun Rich Fresh Foods has recalled sliced apples and products containing sliced apples that were produced in their Brampton facility. They’re being recalled for possible Listeria contamination.
The HKPR district health unit has been calling daycares, nursing homes and other institutions in Haliburton County to make sure they aren’t serving any of these products. Health Unit inspectors also checked each location to make sure it wasn’t on the menu.
