New Citizen Self-Reporting program used by hundreds, leading to charges

The OPP is reporting success with the new citizen self-reporting tool. The program was introduced last year to give people a chance to report non-emergency incidents to police. Since it was implemented, OPP have received hundreds of online reports from citizens across Ontario.

With the information people have reported, police have been able to make arrests and charges in property crime investigations.

People can use their computer or mobile device to report a non-emergency where there are no suspects and no injuries.

To find out more, go to the OPP website.
