Handlen’s bail hearing takes two days, decision still to be made

A decision on whether or not Gary Handlen will get bail is still to be determined.  The former Minden resident is accused in the 1970s murders of Kathryn-Mary Herbert and Monica Jack. His bail hearing started on May 14 and was carried over to a second day.

According to BC press, prosecutors planned to challenge the bail application. His next court appearance, where a ruling on the bail is expected, is scheduled for June 2.

A publication ban has been issued for the submissions, defence and evidence presented at the hearing.
