This week is our chance to let our paramedics know how much we appreciate them. It’s National Paramedic Services Week, to recognize the third largest health care provider group in Canada.
In Haliburton County, we have around 24 full time paramedics who respond to about four thousand calls per year on average.
To celebrate this week, the Haliburton County Paramedic Service is holding a grand opening of the new EMS base. On Wednesday at 2pm people can take a tour of the base on Highway 35, see the vehicles and meet the Paramedic staff.
