The first phase in the Head Lake Bridge project will start this year. The bridge is being rehabilitated after the County received some government funding.
The work includes replacing the railing, repairing some cracking and widening the sidewalk to about six feet. This fall they’ll start repairing some of the piers.
They’re hoping the rest of the work can start in the spring of next year so it’s done before the summer months.
During construction, the bridge will be reduced to one lane of traffic.
