The group advocating for a Natural Heritage Study on the Haliburton County Rail Trail will be able to submit their application for funding.
The resolution was passed yesterday, despite a few councilors voting against it. Concerns were raised about wanting final approval of the application, and that the study could create more user conflict on the trail.
The application is being written by a community collaborative group and will be asking for funding from the TD Friends of the Environment Foundation.
