Discussion about the latest tourism campaign for Ontario’s Highlands is still going on at the county council table.
Councilor Liz Danielson recently expressed her dislike for the campaign which is labelling the Highlands as “nowhere”. Other councilors agreed, saying they want people to know the campaign isn’t coming from the County, but the Ontario Highlands Tourism Organization.
OHTO is describing the campaign as promoting the Highlands as a destination to go nowhere for people who live in the city and are looking to escape for the summer.
